Working for a peaceful world

The Peace & Justice Network of San Joaquin County (PJN) is a local grassroots educational non-profit, based in Stockton, in the Central Valley of California. We have been working on issues of peace, justice, and a healthy environment for over 20 years. To that end the group publishes a newspaper, Connections, hosts two cable television shows; Talking It Through and The Reality Show, sponsors the local Earth Day, the Peaceful Holiday Fair, and other events. In September '05 we opened our new Peace Center which is giving us a much more visable and active presence in our community. We also encourage people to educate themselves with a variety of points of view and news beyond the mainstream.

We welcome all who agree with the following mission statement to join us in working for these essential goals.

The Center is available for rent to the community for meetings, lecture series, workshops etc. at a modest fee. Contact PJC to schedule and coordinate your event. The Center will also sponsor a variety of events throughout the year including art exhibitions, craft shows, readings, meditation classes, guest speakers and special films. Suggestions from the community are welcome.
