The Miracle Mile Battle of the Bands Showdown! The Miracle Miler, Volume 2, Number 1 In order to raise money to make the improvements on The Miracle Mile, the MMIA is staging the first annual Battle of the Bands: The "Miracle Mile Showdown." The event will be held at the Stockton Civic Auditorium on Firday, June 3, 2005 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Bands from throughout the Valley and the Bar Area have been invited to compete. Nine bands will be selected to do battle at the show. A panel of judges will select the top three bands based upon their performances. These three bands will play one more song and the audience, by their applause, will select the first, second and third place winners. The first place winners receives $1,000.00, studio recording time at Downtown Studios , a music video produced by XP Multimedia, and CD Cover photos by Flashbacks. In addition to these sponsors, Miracle Mile merchants are welcome to participate as vendors.
