May 2005

Each year an election is held to create a new Board of Directors for the Miracle Mile Improvement Association, (M.M.I.A.). All merchants and property owners are eligible to run for the board. Upon election, the Board of Directors selects its slate of officers.

Kevin Dougherty of the First Commercial Properties has been selected as President. This is Kevin's first year on the board. He owns several properties on the The Miracle Mile and is dedicated to making "The Mile" an even better place to Shop, Dine and Enjoy!

Returning as Vice President for a second term, Bill Berlin, owner and founder of Flashbacks, will continue to serve in the capacity of Marketing Director. He will be working closely with Kip Sooter of Foot Solutions to plan the year's events and market them to the Stockton community. Bill also edit the quarterly newsletter, The Miracle Miler.

Tanya Watters is the new treasurer. She and her husband, Ora, own Architectural Amenties. As a merchant who has three different locations on the Miracle Mile, Tanya is dedicated to the success of the shopping district.

Valley Brewing Company's Kelly Jacobs has again agreed to serve as secretary. Kelly continues to be the glue that holds the MMIA together.

Bob Olsen of Pacific Mail and Copy Center, former President Susan Farens, and Larry Ruthstaller, owner of Alder Market, round out the board.
